Costume, makeup and props

Costume and makeup design
The choices of clothing that we will make for our video have been chosen carefully with the genre and target audience in mind. We will use brands such as ‘Puma’ and ‘Adidas’ as they are the types of brands that match our genre of hip hop and rap via stereotypes of the genre. Monet’s pink Puma jumper and Adidas trainers will appear on our poster and digipak as the main photo of our artist because that appeals to the target audience directly so they know exactly the genre of music just by looking at our digipak or the poster. Monet’s makeup (our artist) will be very subtle, the main focus of our video will be on the psychedelic effects that we will be using. By using the subtle make-up, we think that it will be more aesthetically pleasing as she won’t be heavily covered in makeup because we believe that it doesn’t appeal to our target audience.

Props list

Mainly, the only props that we will be using is a car to film the ‘taxi’ scenes, a vape pen to be sued to create the smoke effects and disco lights that will be used to represent Monet at a party.
